Meet your chiropractor

Why I became a chiropractor

Chiropractic is vital to link the brain to the body and to allow the body to give feedback back to the brain! Chemical, emotional and physical stress causes our spine to "go out of alignment" (subluxate). This pinches the nerves that not only detect pain but also allows the organs and systems of the body to function optimally.

As a chiropractor we are the only doctors trained to identify and remove subluxations of the spine therefore restoring function. We take a thorough history and comprehensive examination of your nerves, muscles and bones. Visual observation of posture is imperative to show patients how imbalanced their bodies actually are.

What makes me different

What makes me different is the ability to listen with intent to our patients of what’s really bothering them and how it is dramatically affecting the relationships in their lives. For example, a mother may come in with intense headaches and they literally break down in tears for how these headaches are affecting her ability to be the best Mom, Wife or Daughter for her family. We develop a Recommended Action Plan that suits her needs in office day 1

What an adjustment feels like

If you’ve never had an adjustment think of it as when you abruptly turn you neck or lower back and you hear and feel your spine "pop". If you’re familiar with that then this is what you’ll experience. I will be performing the adjustment to the exact area your body needs it from the history and exam

Outside the office

I have been an athlete my entire life. I enjoy distance running, hockey and golf. I’ve coached hockey at the youth level up to high school. Currently my son plays college hockey and my daughter college golf. My wife and I are currently empty nesters and looking forward to travel and hike our National Parks. I thoroughly enjoy cooking for family and friends

Focus areas

Where I focus

Every doctor at Chiropractic Company is trained to care for the full range of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions. What differs between us is the additional training we’ve done and the patients we’ve spent the most time with.

Auto, personal injury & work comp

Most car accident victims go to the ER or Urgent Care for non-traumatic soft tissue injuries. I specialize in soft tissue injuries.

Recreational athletes

I adjust and treat many golfers and runners with neck, mid and lower back complaints get them well and they return for general wellness to remain athletic

Trades & manual labor

Trades and Construction workers suffering from repetitive bending, twisting, and lifting injuries for neck, mid and lower back pain. We help with a lot of wrists, shoulders and knees.

Technique

How I work

Greenfield has a lot of active family members who receive regular care. We also have a wide variety of youth athletes, high school athletes and recreational athletes who not only receive care for injuries but to remain healthy to perform their sport of interest.

Usually first

Diversified

This technique allows me to adapt to the specific adjustment needs by each patient with even flow

Then

Impulse I.Q./Instrument

allows for spinal and extremity adjustments with the ability to work out myofascial trigger points at the same time

Also

PNF strain/counterstrain

allows for active involvement of the patient while performing their adjustment for optimal adaptation to the adjustment

Structural

Gonstead

A detailed analytical approach that identifies one specific segment rather than adjusting a region. Usually paired with x-ray and palpation findings.

Low force

Thompson drop-table

A section of the table drops a short distance as the adjustment is delivered, so less manual force is needed to move the joint.

Low force

Activator / instrument

A small handheld instrument delivers a controlled, low-force impulse to a specific spot. No twisting, no popping sound.

Beyond the spine

Extremity adjusting

Adjusting joints outside the spine — shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet. Often what a spine-only approach misses.

Assessment

Motion palpation

Feeling how each joint moves through its range rather than assessing it at rest. This is how a restricted segment gets found — often not where the pain is.

Assessment

X-ray analysis

On-site imaging when it will change the plan. Used to rule things out as much as to confirm them.

Assessment

Movement screening

Watching how you move through a set of positions to find the limitation driving the complaint.

Also uses Gait analysis, Digital foot scan, Trigger point therapy, Spinal decompression and Electrical stimulation.

Two things worth knowing

You decide what I do

I ask questions as to why in my comprehensive history and perform the necessary examination for certainty and provide a thorough explanation of the findings. I then provide numerous options for gently motion. I honor their request.

When I’ll send you somewhere else

The wonderful advantage having 28 years of experience has been all of the professional relationships I’ve been able to work with. I have orthopedic, neurologist, holistic doctors and physical therapist along with acupuncturists, massage therapists and athletic trainers

For most people, no. You may hear or feel a pop, which is gas releasing from the joint rather than bones cracking. Some people feel mild soreness afterward, similar to after a workout, usually for a day or less.

Plan for about an hour. That covers the consultation, the exam, and X-rays if they’re needed. At your second visit, Dr. Hruby goes over the results and your care plan. Follow-up visits are shorter.

Yes. We’re in-network with most insurance companies, including Medicare, and we bill your plan for you. What you pay depends on your plan’s copay, deductible, and coinsurance. Verify your insurance before your visit, or call (414) 321-2273.
