Insurance and your share

How insurance and your share work

Your plan pays part of the cost, and you pay your share. Your share can include:

  • A copay. A fixed amount for a covered visit, after your deductible.1
  • A deductible. What you pay for covered care before your plan starts to pay.2
  • Coinsurance. A percentage of the cost after your deductible, such as 20%.3

Coverage varies by plan. Our team can check your benefits before your first visit. How insurance works with us.

Car accident or work injury?

Other coverage may pay. See auto accident or workers’ comp.

Medicare

After the Part B deductible, you pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount. Medicare billing.
