Why I became a chiropractor
I choose chiropractic time and time again because of what it has given me and what it has taken away. It has taken away some of the limitations I had previously set for myself.
I was unable to complete some of my collegiate golf tournaments because of back pain before I had chiropractic care. With the regular adjustments I get, I’ve gained mobility and strength to continue doing what I love pain free and with better results.
What makes me different
My goal is to help patients be able to do the things they love as well. This area has an abundance of activities and places to see. If a patient has a goal, I am ready to sit down and put together a plan with them to help them achieve that goal.
What an adjustment feels like
An adjustment can be done to your comfort level, if you’re unsure what that looks like. I can show you on my model spine. For a manual adjustment that we might hear a "pop" with, it will feel close to any pops you’ve felt in the past, but with relief.
Outside the office
I enjoy a busy and full life outside of the clinic. When you’re not seeing me here, I am often with my daughter. You will find us on a body of water in the summer or at a club volleyball tournament in the winter. I do occasionally sneak away for golf or fishing, weather permitting.
Where I focus
Every doctor at Chiropractic Company is trained to care for the full range of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions. What differs between us is the additional training we’ve done and the patients we’ve spent the most time with.
Chronic headaches that show up after waking up in the morning or during the work day.
Desk workers suffering from upper back and shoulder stiffness after hours of sitting at computer.
Adults suffering from episodic low back flare ups when nothing else takes care of the problem.
Conditions I treat
Like every doctor at our Mequon office, I care for the full range of conditions below.
How I work
Our Mequon office sees a wide mix of patients, but most come in with upper back stiffness or an acute low back flare up that the patient had been putting on the back burner for too long.
Diversified
the most widely used technique for a reason - it gets results with a good comfortable adjustment
Thompson drop-table
A section of the table drops a short distance as the adjustment is delivered, so less manual force is needed to move the joint.
Extremity adjusting
particularly important to adjust lower ankles and knees as they serve as a contact to the ground for the low back.
Gonstead
A detailed analytical approach that identifies one specific segment rather than adjusting a region. Usually paired with x-ray and palpation findings.
Activator / instrument
A small handheld instrument delivers a controlled, low-force impulse to a specific spot. No twisting, no popping sound.
Motion palpation
Feeling how each joint moves through its range rather than assessing it at rest. This is how a restricted segment gets found — often not where the pain is.
X-ray analysis
On-site imaging when it will change the plan. Used to rule things out as much as to confirm them.
Digital foot scan
A pressure scan of both feet, showing how weight distributes and where the arch is collapsing.
Active Release Technique
Pressure held on a muscle while it is taken through its range, to free adhesions that have built up between tissue layers.
Trigger point therapy
Direct, sustained pressure on a tight band within a muscle until it releases.
Also uses Kinesiology taping, Electrical stimulation, Corrective exercise, McKenzie and PNF stretching.
You decide what I do
That’s no problem. I am here to offer my support and treatment but will absolutely follow your wishes.
When I’ll send you somewhere else
I’ve noted kidney stones and abdominal aneurysms and personally called a patient’s doctor with the patient’s request in order to expedite their care at other facilities. There are cases that simply need to be seen outside of this office before we can offer supportive care.
