Wrestling put me on the table
After wrestling in middle school I made the freshman basketball team in High School. After 3 weeks of incorrectly jumping I could’t walk and had bolts of lighting shooting down my right leg. I went to see Dr.
James Taylor in Hales Corners and after 8 adjustments I was back on the basketball court playing and having fun. That positive experience stayed with me and I knew what I wanted to do for my career. After High School I went into the US Army to gain life experience and earn the Montgomery GI Bill to help pay for my schooling. The experiences I had while serving solidified my desire to become a chiropractor and help as many veterans and people as possible.
What makes me different
I have the most advanced training in upper cervical care in the clinic as well as being the primary doctor for sciatic pain and low back issues requiring flexion/distraction care.
What an adjustment feels like
An adjustment is a gentle but firm thrust through a joint space correcting fixation and misalignment. When this is applied properly, health is quickly restored.
Outside the office
My lovely wife is a nurse practitioner at Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin. We have 2 amazingly beautiful daughters together. We enjoy traveling and outdoor adventures together. I grew up in Muskego, WI where I went to High School. I joined the US Army where I served as a 31-Romeo voice and data communications operator/maintainer. In 2003 I deployed to Kuwait and in March was part of the invasion force into Iraq where I stayed until August of ’03. I returned to Iraq in 2005 in support of OIF III operations. Post military I enrolled at UW-Waukesha where I played basketball. I transferred to UW Milwaukee in 2008 and was accepted to Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2011. While at Palmer I enjoyed earning an athletic scholarship playing Rugby and was voted treasurer for the Palmer CC Rugby FC, I was vice president of the Veterans Club on campus, an active member of the Pi Kappa Chi fraternity, and was selected amongst my peers to be a Radiology Intern. My current hobbies include mountain biking, skiing, volleyball, and hunting.
Where I focus
Every doctor at Chiropractic Company is trained to care for the full range of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions. What differs between us is the additional training we’ve done and the patients we’ve spent the most time with.
Laborers with neck pain & stiffness, upper back pain, and low back sciatica & nerve pain.
Pregnant patients dealing with low back pain, sciatica & nerve pain, and hip pain and discomfort.
Active young adults dealing with musculoskeletal issues and growing pains.
Conditions I treat
Like every doctor at our Waukesha office, I care for the full range of conditions below.
How I work
Waukesha is an amazing community filled with hardworking families. Neck and low back dysfunction from our blue collar workers, and postural and pain management for our local moms and children.
Diversified
Prioritizing comfortable spinal correction allows the patient to relax while I earn their trust.
Thompson drop-table
A low force high amplitude adjustment comfortably corrects the spine while avoiding uncomfortable or forceful techniques.
Extremity adjusting
The shoulders, knees, and hips are often overlooked but play a pivotal roll in form and function of the body. These areas need assessment and correction to allow full health to be achieved.
Gonstead
A detailed analytical approach that identifies one specific segment rather than adjusting a region. Usually paired with x-ray and palpation findings.
Activator / instrument
A small handheld instrument delivers a controlled, low-force impulse to a specific spot. No twisting, no popping sound.
Cox flexion-distraction
A segmented table gently stretches the spine to open the space around a compressed disc or nerve root. Often used for sciatica and disc complaints.
Toggle recoil
A fast, shallow adjustment to the top of the neck, delivered with the hands and almost no follow-through.
Upper cervical
Precise work on the top two vertebrae, where the head meets the neck. Small corrections here affect posture further down.
Logan Basic
Sustained light contact at the base of the spine. Among the gentlest techniques in use.
Pediatric / low-force
Adjusting scaled to a child, using roughly the pressure you would use to check a ripe tomato. Nothing like an adult adjustment in force or technique.
Also uses Geriatric, Motion palpation, X-ray analysis, Gait analysis and Digital foot scan.
You decide what I do
Patient trust and comfort is a top priority in my clinic. We respect our patients wishes and will ensure their needs are met. As a provider I check my ego at the door and will accommodate a patients desire to avoid an area or spinal region they might not be comfortable with or have apprehension about adjusting and offer alternative ways of correction or shift to a soft tissue approach.
When I’ll send you somewhere else
When the in-depth day one examination shows red flags on the neuro portion, I will send my patients for advanced imaging at SimonMed with a referral to OAW. Soft tissue trauma/issues are automatically referred to our amazing PT Dr. Ashley, DPT for complete collaborative in clinic care.
