Meet your chiropractor

It started with my mother

I became a Chiropractor because I myself was a Chiropractic patient first. I have delt with migraine headaches since the 5th grade.

They were debilitating; medication didn’t help and the only thing that worked was sleeping in a dark soundless room for 12-15 hours. My mom realized that this was not sustainable and took me to a Chiropractor who looked at my spine but also realized other lifestyle choices I needed to make in order to not have them as frequently. And that literally changed my life so I wanted to do the same for others.

What makes me different

I want to educate you as much as possible on the health of your spine and body; so please come with questions. It also doesn’t matter to me what technique I use to get you better. I look at you the person and see what your needs are and your care plan is taylored to that.

What an adjustment feels like

The movement of the joint to create movement so that inflammation can decrease and your pain will lessen maybe not immediately depending on how long the problem has been there, but the movement will create better motion which leads to less pain in time.

Outside the office

My wife and I have 3 kids 5 and under, so most of my free time is spent with my family making sure I raise decent humans. Other than that I enjoy sports playing or watching and love to get out into nature and take a hike.

Focus areas

Where I focus

Every doctor at Chiropractic Company is trained to care for the full range of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions. What differs between us is the additional training we’ve done and the patients we’ve spent the most time with.

Headache & migraine

Mostly people who have been suffering from migraines most of their lives like I have. Neck and Upper back pain are usually the cause of migraines.

Desk & office workers

Desk workers who have to sit for long periods of time usually develop low back and upper back pain from staring at a computer screen.

Seniors (65+)

Active retirees who want to stay active and want another option compared to drugs or surgery.

Technique

How I work

Hales corners sees a lot of weekend warriors who want to feel better so that they can do the things that they enjoy when they arent’t working.

Usually first

Diversified

The most widely used chiropractic technique — a specific, hands-on thrust to restore motion in a restricted joint. This is what most people picture when they think of getting adjusted.

Then

Soft tissue

we take care of the musculoskeletal system if I only adjust your skeleton then I am only doing half the work of what you need to feel better.

Also

Activator / instrument

A small handheld instrument delivers a controlled, low-force impulse to a specific spot. No twisting, no popping sound.

Structural

Gonstead

A detailed analytical approach that identifies one specific segment rather than adjusting a region. Usually paired with x-ray and palpation findings.

Low force

Thompson drop-table

A section of the table drops a short distance as the adjustment is delivered, so less manual force is needed to move the joint.

Disc & nerve

Cox flexion-distraction

A segmented table gently stretches the spine to open the space around a compressed disc or nerve root. Often used for sciatica and disc complaints.

Beyond the spine

Extremity adjusting

Adjusting joints outside the spine — shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet. Often what a spine-only approach misses.

Seniors

Geriatric / modified

Adjustments adapted for reduced bone density, arthritis and limited range of motion. Lower force, different positioning.

Assessment

Motion palpation

Feeling how each joint moves through its range rather than assessing it at rest. This is how a restricted segment gets found — often not where the pain is.

Assessment

X-ray analysis

On-site imaging when it will change the plan. Used to rule things out as much as to confirm them.

Also uses Gait analysis, Digital foot scan, Instrument-assisted (Graston/IASTM), Trigger point therapy and Kinesiology taping.

Two things worth knowing

You decide what I do

If a patient says do not touch my neck then I ask if I can use a different technique that won’t cause the popping or cracking sound that they may not like. In some cases if it’s not the area of concern then we won’t adjust there.

When I’ll send you somewhere else

If they are not getting relief from my care after a few weeks then we will refer out to the Orthopedic surgeon or a Neurologist depending on the issue. If I see something on X-ray right away that I know I will not be able to help with I refer out immediately so that patient gets to the right specialist who can help them.

For most people, no. You may hear or feel a pop, which is gas releasing from the joint rather than bones cracking. Some people feel mild soreness afterward, similar to after a workout, usually for a day or less.

Plan for about an hour. That covers the consultation, the exam, and X-rays if they’re needed. At your second visit, Dr. Anderson goes over the results and your care plan. Follow-up visits are shorter.
