Why I became a chiropractor
I got into chiropractic because I experienced firsthand how much it can help someone. I had a back injury that got to the point where I could barely walk, and it was frustrating to not be able to do the things I normally could. Going through that experience showed me how much of an impact chiropractic care can have on someone’s life.
It made me want to help other people who are dealing with pain and limitations like I was. I know what it feels like to not be able to move normally, and that experience is a big reason why I chose chiropractic. I want to help people feel better, move better, and get back to doing what they enjoy.
What makes me different
What makes me different is that I don’t just adjust patients and send them on their way. I’m also big on rehab and giving patients exercises they can do at home. That way, we can work on the problem together and make changes that last.
Outside the office
I currently live on the East Side and grew up in Franklin, so the Milwaukee area has always been home. Outside of work, I like to stay active by lifting weights and spending time at the gym. I also enjoy golfing in my free time and getting outside whenever I can.
Where I focus
Every doctor at Chiropractic Company is trained to care for the full range of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions. What differs between us is the additional training we’ve done and the patients we’ve spent the most time with.
Active adults commonly experience low back, upper back, and hip pain from exercise, sports, and other physically demanding activities.
Patients with chronic pain often experience low back pain, neck stiffness, and sciatica due to recurring pain that limits movement and daily activities.
Desk workers commonly present with low back pain, upper back pain, and neck stiffness due to prolonged sitting and poor posture.
Conditions I treat
Like every doctor at our Milwaukee office, I care for the full range of conditions below.
How I work
At the East Side location, we commonly see a diverse mix of young professionals, college students, and retirees, each with unique musculoskeletal needs related to their daily activities and lifestyles.
Thompson drop-table
I typically start with the Thompson technique because it is a low-force approach that allows me to begin by balancing the pelvis and establishing a stable foundation before addressing other areas of the spine.
Soft tissue work
I use soft tissue work to relax the muscles surrounding the spine and reduce muscular tension, preparing the patient for the additional adjustments that follow.
Diversified
I finish with the diversified technique to restore proper joint movement and mobility throughout the spine, completing the adjustment process after establishing a stable foundation and relaxing the surrounding musculature.
Gonstead
A detailed analytical approach that identifies one specific segment rather than adjusting a region. Usually paired with x-ray and palpation findings.
Activator / instrument
A small handheld instrument delivers a controlled, low-force impulse to a specific spot. No twisting, no popping sound.
Extremity adjusting
Adjusting joints outside the spine — shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet. Often what a spine-only approach misses.
Geriatric / modified
Adjustments adapted for reduced bone density, arthritis and limited range of motion. Lower force, different positioning.
Motion palpation
Feeling how each joint moves through its range rather than assessing it at rest. This is how a restricted segment gets found — often not where the pain is.
X-ray analysis
On-site imaging when it will change the plan. Used to rule things out as much as to confirm them.
Movement screening
Watching how you move through a set of positions to find the limitation driving the complaint.
Also uses Gait analysis, Digital foot scan, Active Release Technique, Instrument-assisted (Graston/IASTM) and Trigger point therapy.
You decide what I do
If a patient does not want their neck touched or adjusted, I will respect their preference and work with them to find a gentler, more comfortable technique for addressing the area. Patient comfort, consent, and trust are my priorities throughout the treatment process.
When I’ll send you somewhere else
If a patient came in with a possible fracture after a fall, sudden weakness or loss of bowel/bladder control, or pain along with unexplained weight loss or fever, I would not adjust them. I would refer them to a medical provider for further evaluation and treatment.
