Why I became a chiropractor
After suffering a neck injury during a sports event, I had severe pain, restricted range of motion, and radiating pain that traveled down my back and arms. The chiropractor I saw was able to get me back to normal again after just a few treatments.
I knew nothing about chiropractic at the time but was very grateful for their help. That was when I first considered it as a career path for myself. I was always interested in taking a role in the healthcare field and the chiropractic profession allows me to help others in the same way I was.
What makes me different
I utilize treatment plans for most patients. Whether the plan is 1 month or 3 I expect the patient to stick to the plan we both agree upon for the best results. Once you tell me you are feeling better I switch gears into giving you stretches, exercises, and at home therapies to keep you active and pain free.
What an adjustment feels like
The adjustment is a technique that corrects a restricted or stuck joint. It is usually done manually or with a table/tool. During the adjustment you will feel movement and hear sound made when the joint moves. Afterwards, you might notice some muscle soreness, but with increased range of motion.
Outside the office
I grew up in Wisconsin and moved back here after graduating school. When I am not working, I enjoy rock climbing, running, and outdoor activities.
Where I focus
Every doctor at Chiropractic Company is trained to care for the full range of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions. What differs between us is the additional training we’ve done and the patients we’ve spent the most time with.
Upper/lower back pain and headaches related to desk work, stress, and poor posture.
Spinal and extremity pain with related nerve symptoms lasting longer than 3 months related to old injuries or accidents.
Working long days outside takes a toll on the body
Working long days outside takes a toll on the body. Work injuries and accidents don’t need to become chronic pains managed with painkillers.
Conditions I treat
Like every doctor at our West Allis office, I care for the full range of conditions below.
How I work
West Allis North has a mix of young and old patients. I am happy to serve students, manual laborers, office workers, athletes, retired veterans, and seniors.
Gonstead
Before I adjust, I need to know the restriction and listing, I like to have xrays to be as specific as possible.
Thompson drop-table
I begin with gentle adjustments on each area before manual manipulations
Diversified
I want to address the underlying issue directly. Whether the problem is mechanical or muscular I want to create the best change as efficiently as possible.
Activator / instrument
A small handheld instrument delivers a controlled, low-force impulse to a specific spot. No twisting, no popping sound.
Extremity adjusting
Adjusting joints outside the spine — shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet. Often what a spine-only approach misses.
Motion palpation
Feeling how each joint moves through its range rather than assessing it at rest. This is how a restricted segment gets found — often not where the pain is.
X-ray analysis
On-site imaging when it will change the plan. Used to rule things out as much as to confirm them.
Gait analysis
Watching how you walk. Foot, knee, hip and back complaints frequently trace back to something happening at heel strike.
Digital foot scan
A pressure scan of both feet, showing how weight distributes and where the arch is collapsing.
Active Release Technique
Pressure held on a muscle while it is taken through its range, to free adhesions that have built up between tissue layers.
Also uses Instrument-assisted (Graston/IASTM), Myofascial release, Trigger point therapy, Kinesiology taping and Spinal decompression.
You decide what I do
Got it. Nothing happens unless you say. I won’t do anything without telling you first. Let me know what you are comfortable with and we can go from there.
When I’ll send you somewhere else
If I don’t see a significant improvement or change after the first 2 weeks, I won’t waste your time or mine. If it becomes clear the problem is not joint related or mechanical, then it is time to try something else. I will recommend another provider, whom I trust, for you to see.
