An injury I could not train through
Chiropractic allowed me to play football at the college level. I had been misdiagnosed by athletic trainers and other medical professionals. It wasn’t until I saw my local chiropractor that I was properly diagnosed and treated for my cervical radiculopathy. He was able to get me back on the football field playing in days not weeks.
What makes me different
I keep an open line of communication with my patients that allow them to be comfortable in a clinical setting. My communication style helps people get a complete understanding of what is going on in their bodies and what steps they need to take to improve them.
What an adjustment feels like
Chiropractors will take a joint in the body and feel for movement restrictions in the joint. Based on those findings we are able to position the joint and add a light impulse in the direction of restriction. Impulse strength changes on location and body type.
Outside the office
I have lived all around the Midwest but I am happy to be back home in Wisconsin. I like to spend my time outside of work with my wife outdoors. We like playing pickleball and hiking on the weekends.
Where I focus
Every doctor at Chiropractic Company is trained to care for the full range of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions. What differs between us is the additional training we’ve done and the patients we’ve spent the most time with.
Manual labor often requires repetitive movement patterns leading to overuse injuries and poor biomechanics.
Athletes are placed in difficult situations at every competition level. Balance, strength, and speed can all be affected by your body’s biomechanics.
Poor posture and a sedentary job can have a massive impact on the neck and upper back. Headaches are a common secondary complaint.
Conditions I treat
Like every doctor at our Cudahy office, I care for the full range of conditions below.
How I work
Cudahy mostly sees adults and retirees. Traditionally patients are coming in for low back pain or neck and upper back pain.
Gonstead
I appreciate having a specific listing to target for each adjustment.
Thompson drop-table
Helps me to work on areas that may be more sensitive for the patient and allow for a low force approach.
Extremity adjusting
Its important to work on the other structures that support the body to make sure they are not causing additional roadblocks.
Diversified
The most widely used chiropractic technique — a specific, hands-on thrust to restore motion in a restricted joint. This is what most people picture when they think of getting adjusted.
Activator / instrument
A small handheld instrument delivers a controlled, low-force impulse to a specific spot. No twisting, no popping sound.
Pediatric / low-force
Adjusting scaled to a child, using roughly the pressure you would use to check a ripe tomato. Nothing like an adult adjustment in force or technique.
Motion palpation
Feeling how each joint moves through its range rather than assessing it at rest. This is how a restricted segment gets found — often not where the pain is.
X-ray analysis
On-site imaging when it will change the plan. Used to rule things out as much as to confirm them.
Digital foot scan
A pressure scan of both feet, showing how weight distributes and where the arch is collapsing.
Instrument-assisted (Graston/IASTM)
A stainless steel tool is drawn across the skin to find and break down scar tissue and fascial restriction.
Also uses Myofascial release, Trigger point therapy, Corrective exercise, PNF stretching and Ergonomic assessment.
You decide what I do
I am happy to listen to any patient’s concerns. Usually in this situation I like to educate why it is important to adjust the area. I would propose other adjusting or therapy options we can use to improve movement in the area.
When I’ll send you somewhere else
A lot of what looks like hip pain is really a hip joint problem, not a spine problem. I refer those out and I’d rather do it at visit two than visit twelve. If I see red flags on a neuro I am also referring them out for an orthopedic consult immediately.
