The pills did nothing
I knew I always wanted to be in health care because I wanted to help people, but I didn’t want to recommend medication. I also knew I wanted to see multiple generations of the same family, so chiropractic was the natural fit.
What makes me different
I will see the complicated pediatric cases and recommend exercises and other pro-active approaches to your healthcare
What an adjustment feels like
I find what’s stuck and I unstick it, using the pressure that is right for you. That might mean using my hand, the table or an instrument. You might hear a noise and that’s not bone or cartilage, it’s a gas pocket.
Outside the office
I grew up on a farm, spend a lot of time boating in the summer and I am very active with chiropractic at a state and national level. I want every patient to be able to access chiropractic without barriers
Where I focus
Every doctor at Chiropractic Company is trained to care for the full range of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions. What differs between us is the additional training we’ve done and the patients we’ve spent the most time with.
Mostly torticollis upper back and neck, crawling, walking in infants and children. Issues related to sports and posture in adolescents
lower back and sciatic pain related to pregnancy and upper back and neck related to nursing and holding infant. Fourth trimester pain and pelvic floor.
Golfers with lower back and hip mobility issues and healthcare workers lifting and standing upper back and neck
Conditions I treat
Like every doctor at our Germantown office, I care for the full range of conditions below.
How I work
young families. I am trying to help parents grow healthy kids. Kids with sports related overuse injuries hips, knees lower back. Kids with poor posture due to too much technology
Pediatric / low-force
Adjusting scaled to a child, using roughly the pressure you would use to check a ripe tomato. Nothing like an adult adjustment in force or technique.
Diversified
The most widely used chiropractic technique — a specific, hands-on thrust to restore motion in a restricted joint. This is what most people picture when they think of getting adjusted.
Thompson drop-table
A section of the table drops a short distance as the adjustment is delivered, so less manual force is needed to move the joint.
Activator / instrument
A small handheld instrument delivers a controlled, low-force impulse to a specific spot. No twisting, no popping sound.
Cox flexion-distraction
A segmented table gently stretches the spine to open the space around a compressed disc or nerve root. Often used for sciatica and disc complaints.
Extremity adjusting
Adjusting joints outside the spine — shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet. Often what a spine-only approach misses.
X-ray analysis
On-site imaging when it will change the plan. Used to rule things out as much as to confirm them.
Movement screening
Watching how you move through a set of positions to find the limitation driving the complaint.
Gait analysis
Watching how you walk. Foot, knee, hip and back complaints frequently trace back to something happening at heel strike.
Digital foot scan
A pressure scan of both feet, showing how weight distributes and where the arch is collapsing.
Also uses Electrical stimulation, Corrective exercise, Ergonomic assessment, Custom orthotics and Home exercise programming.
You decide what I do
Treatment techniques and plans are built with the individual patient in mind.
When I’ll send you somewhere else
We do an in-depth evaluation to determine if chiropractic care is right for you. If something shows up during the examination, I will send a patient to their Primary Care Physician or other appropriate provider based on the individual situation. It is important to work with all health care providers on a patient’s team.
