My first career ended with my back
My first job was as a barber. After a couple of years my low back hurt so bad that it limited how much I could work and thought the career was over. A coworker suggested chiropractic, at the time meds were not working so thought why not. It did take about 3 months but I felt so much better. I actually thought about it for a while and changed careers to give help to people the same way
What makes me different
I am a teacher, people need to understand their problem before it can be corrected
What an adjustment feels like
We are going to get this joint to move better, first , some light pressure over the area, then a quick push. You may hear and feel it , but should not be painful.
Outside the office
My wife and I live in the area, . Most weekends in the summer you will find me either fishing, golfing on a local course, or riding my motorcycle.. In the colder months I enjoy Bucks games or finding new places to try exciting food
Where I focus
Every doctor at Chiropractic Company is trained to care for the full range of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions. What differs between us is the additional training we’ve done and the patients we’ve spent the most time with.
Seniors, who have low back, sciatic, hip and knee pain due to activity or post surgery that dont want to miss out on activity
Auto and personal injury, people who have neck , mid ad low back pain and want to get back to their normal daily lives
recreational athletes, weekend warriors who like to golf , play pickleball or basketball who are not able to compete at current level
Conditions I treat
Like every doctor at our Milwaukee office, I care for the full range of conditions below.
How I work
Milwaukee North sees a mix of complaints ranging from neck and upper back due to desk work, driving jobs, and school work to low back and hip issues from consistant sports or work overload
Diversified
The most widely used chiropractic technique — a specific, hands-on thrust to restore motion in a restricted joint. This is what most people picture when they think of getting adjusted.
Gonstead
A detailed analytical approach that identifies one specific segment rather than adjusting a region. Usually paired with x-ray and palpation findings.
Thompson drop-table
A section of the table drops a short distance as the adjustment is delivered, so less manual force is needed to move the joint.
Activator / instrument
A small handheld instrument delivers a controlled, low-force impulse to a specific spot. No twisting, no popping sound.
Extremity adjusting
Adjusting joints outside the spine — shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet. Often what a spine-only approach misses.
Geriatric / modified
Adjustments adapted for reduced bone density, arthritis and limited range of motion. Lower force, different positioning.
Motion palpation
Feeling how each joint moves through its range rather than assessing it at rest. This is how a restricted segment gets found — often not where the pain is.
X-ray analysis
On-site imaging when it will change the plan. Used to rule things out as much as to confirm them.
Movement screening
Watching how you move through a set of positions to find the limitation driving the complaint.
Gait analysis
Watching how you walk. Foot, knee, hip and back complaints frequently trace back to something happening at heel strike.
Also uses Digital foot scan, Active Release Technique, Myofascial release, Trigger point therapy and Kinesiology taping.
You decide what I do
Ask the patient why, find out what the concern is and then make suggestions based on that.
When I’ll send you somewhere else
after imaging If the patient has a fracture, referral to an orthopedist. after imaging if the patient has significant instabilities, send to an orthopedist Most cases I will still comanage, after sending to rheumatologist or neurologist examples are rheumatoid arthritis, MS, or other disorder
